Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By using RWC Guide — including running the Known Business Check, reading the report, or contacting us through the site — you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. What RWC Guide is and is not

RWC Guide is the public category site and Known Business Check diagnostic operated by IdentityRecord. It is an informational and educational service. The diagnostic returns a readiness report; the report is a structured assessment of how legible a business is to AI systems and commerce networks.

RWC Guide is not a payment processor, a credential issuer, a regulator, a financial service, a legal service, a medical service, or a professional advisor. References to future protocol functionality — including protocol-backed portability and on-chain attestations — describe roadmap items, not live product features.

3. No guarantees

RWC Guide and the Known Business Check do not guarantee AI recommendations, AI rankings, search rankings, customer acquisition, revenue, deal flow, or any other commercial outcome. The report identifies readiness gaps; closing those gaps is the business owner's decision.

Trust Score is a measurement inside IdentityRecord. RWC Guide does not publish Trust Scores. The Known Business Check returns readiness bands and a written report, and must not be presented as a Trust Score.

Trust Credits are product credits inside IdentityRecord. They are not cryptocurrency, not tradable, not cash, and do not require a wallet. RWC Guide explains the program; RWC Guide does not award credits.

4. Submitted information

When you submit a website or business details to the diagnostic, you confirm that you are authorized to share that information for the purpose of running the diagnostic. The crawler honors robots.txt and only fetches content publicly available to a standard web client.

You retain all rights to the information you submit. By submitting it, you grant RWC Guide a limited, non-exclusive license to use the submitted information solely to operate the diagnostic, generate the report, and provide the optional IdentityRecord handoff.

5. Acceptable use

Do not submit websites you do not have permission to diagnose, attempt to defeat the crawler's safety controls, submit information that infringes a third party's rights, or use RWC Guide to harass, defame, or mislead.

Do not attempt to access non-public parts of the site, to scrape reports issued to other users, or to interfere with the operation of the service. We may rate-limit, suspend, or remove access for activity that appears abusive.

6. Third-party services

RWC Guide integrates with HubSpot, PostHog, GA4, Resend, Supabase, Sentry, Vercel, and IdentityRecord as described in the Privacy Policy. Those services operate under their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or independent decisions.

7. No warranty

RWC Guide is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the diagnostic will produce a particular outcome.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RWC Guide and IdentityRecord, and our respective officers, employees, and contractors, are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity — arising out of or in connection with the use of the site or the diagnostic.

For any direct damages, our aggregate liability is limited to one hundred United States dollars (US$100). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RWC Guide and IdentityRecord from any third-party claim arising out of your use of the site, your submitted information, or your violation of these Terms.

10. Changes to the service and these Terms

We may change the diagnostic, the site, or these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected in the "last reviewed" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access at any time, including for behavior that violates these Terms. You may stop using the site at any time. Sections relating to submitted information, no warranty, limitation of liability, and indemnification survive termination.

12. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes are subject to the courts located in Delaware unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise.
