Canonical definitions for RWC Guide vocabulary.

These are the canonical definitions for the RWC Guide vocabulary. Where a term has a compliance status — Trust Credits, Solana Pay, Solana Actions, Blinks, or Protocol-backed portability — the badge calls out the contract that governs how the term may be described elsewhere on the site.

AI PageAI Visibility
A machine-readable page published inside IdentityRecord that gives AI systems a canonical surface to read a business's identity, services, and signals.
Commerce Context
The category, services, locations, payment endpoints, and operating context that commerce systems need in order to route to a business with confidence.
Consistency Signals
Signals that describe whether the business's identity, services, and proof agree across the surfaces AI systems read — website, profile, directories, and the AI Page.
Identity Record
Spelled with a space, the same product as IdentityRecord. The owner-controlled record where business identity, signals, proof, and consistency live, and where Trust Credits and Trust Badges are awarded after accepted work.
Identity Signals
Signals that describe who the business is — legal name, owner-controlled domain, contact details, and category — and whether they are consistent across the surfaces AI systems read.
IdentityRecord
The product where business owners build the owner-controlled record itself. RWC Guide is the explainer and diagnostic; IdentityRecord is where owners act on what the diagnostic finds.
Known Business
A business with an owner-controlled record that AI systems and commerce networks can read. The owner controls the data; the graph reads it; commerce systems can route to it with confidence.
Local Trust Signals
Trust-relevant data points for local-presence businesses, such as Google Business Profile state, local citations, on-page address consistency, and locality-specific proof.
Open Commerce Graph
The emerging machine-readable graph of real-world businesses — their identity, services, proof, credentials, activity, locations, payment endpoints, and reputation signals — open by design so AI systems, marketplaces, and applications can read it.
Proof Signals
Signals that describe what the business has demonstrated — licenses, credentials, reviews, work history, and other verifiable proof points captured inside IdentityRecord.
Protocol-backed portabilityProtocol Roadmap
The roadmap concept that an owner-controlled business record could carry protocol-backed portability across systems. Treated as roadmap inside RWC Guide; do not treat future portability as live product functionality unless IdentityRecord explicitly marks it live.
Real World Commerce
The category of commerce activity routed through AI systems, wallets, stablecoin payments, marketplaces, and emerging commerce networks that need machine-readable business identity to operate.
RWA
Real World Assets. The prior category that brought tangible assets on-chain. RWC is the adoption wave that follows, focused on the businesses and transactions that turn assets into economic activity.
RWC
Shorthand for Real World Commerce. The category and the adoption wave that follows Real World Assets, focused on the businesses and transactions that turn assets into everyday economic activity.
Solana ActionsSolana Context
A Solana ecosystem primitive for embedding signable on-chain actions in external surfaces. Referenced inside RWC Guide as ecosystem context; integration is roadmap unless a specific integration is marked live on the Why Solana page.
Solana PaySolana Context
A Solana ecosystem payment standard. Referenced inside RWC Guide as ecosystem context and builder education; integration with RWC Guide is roadmap unless a specific integration is marked live on the Why Solana page.
Stablecoin Payment Readiness
An educational readiness band reported by RWC Guide that reflects whether a business has indicated interest in or capacity to accept stablecoin payments. RWC Guide does not process payments, custody funds, or provide financial services.
Trust Badges
Visual emblems surfaced inside IdentityRecord that summarize a business's verified signals. RWC Guide does not award Trust Badges; they are issued by IdentityRecord after accepted work, and the public MVP does not display awarded Trust Badges.
Trust CreditsTrust Credits
Product credits inside IdentityRecord that reward the work that strengthens business identity. Trust Credits are not cryptocurrency, are not sold, are not tradable, are not cash, and do not require a wallet.
Trust Score
Trust Score is a measurement inside IdentityRecord. RWC Guide public diagnostics use readiness bands and must not present the Known Business Check as a Trust Score.
Understanding Signals
Signals that describe whether AI systems and commerce networks can read what the business does — services described in plain language, structured data, and machine-readable surfaces.
